Also known as ‘Africa’s Grandest Gathering’, the Cape Town Jazz Festival happens on five stages over two days in March and draws both international crowds and performers.
Around 40 bands/ artists perform, some in free open air concerts and some at ticketed events. As well as the shows there are workshops, master classes and a conference. Organisers aim to have half African acts and half from other parts of the world, so there’s a excellent blend of jazz genres.
