Bansko's International Jazz Festival is a great excuse to make a summertime visit to Bulgaria's beloved winter ski resort community. The Festival features a solid program of performers from Europe and the US, but this village of 10,000 inhabitants never feels overrun with visitors. Concerts and jam sessions occuring in Bansko's main square reverberate off the stone walls and wood pillars of the Renaissance architecture. Wash down your jazz with a glass of Bansko's famous red wine/spirits. In 2007 Bansko Jazz celebrated its 10 year aniversary the momentum is building each year. Go now while you can still feel like the you've discovered this jazz secret.
