Stands full of excited fans, the smooth, grey, oval speedway, the stock cars smothered in sponsors' logos and the great, down-to-earth tradition of racing production cars; NASCAR is the second biggest sport in the US, and in Dover, Delaware you can come down from the stands and take your place in the driver's seat...

Stock car racing began as an amateur sport amongst moonshine runners in the 1940s, who modified their vehicles to enable them to escape the police and eventually began to test their cars and driving skills against each other. Today's cars are much more advanced, and your experience will involve driving real Series Racers, but it is still very much about speed, daring and skill. You'll begin your day with a four-lap ride as a passenger with an expert instructor in the driving seat, to help you get a feel of the car – and then you're off round the Monster Mile!
