If watching a workman in a backhoe loader breaking up the tarmac as you sit in a traffic jam leaves you green with envy, this is definitely the place for you.

Visitors to Diggerland can race dumper trucks, dig huge holes and backfill them using an enormous JCB excavator, learn about the awesome heavy-duty engineering that goes into these monsters and even have lunch at the Dig Inn.

Racing an eight and a half ton JCB is certainly no childish pursuit, but there is plenty to amuse the kids as well: anyone aged five and up can drive a mini digger, a bulldozer or a dumper truck, and there are stunt digger shows and theme park rides for both thrill-seekers and easily-scared.
