Aqua Sphereing

Listed under Extreme Challenge in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Those who have done it may well tell you that it is like being on spin cycle in a washing machine, perhaps making the popularity of aqua sphereing something of a mystery. Alone or with a friend (ideally someone with whom getting tangled up would not be a problem), you slip inside a double-hulled, transparent sphere, closely followed by a large bucket of water which half-fills the interior, and slither and slide as the ball rolls down its course, using the water to float and stay upright, at least in theory. Hydro zorbing, as it is also known, is best enjoyed in the warm weather to avoid the need for an insulating wet suit.
