Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple)

Listed under in Bangkok, Thailand.
Made all of beautiful, white Italian Carrara marble, including the paving of the courtyard, this wat is one of Bangkok's most lovely. King Chulalongkorn began construction on the temple in 1899 and it was designed by his half brother. The decorations are Buddhist, and include 52 statues of Buddha. There's an onsite museum for further examination of the buildings construction and history.
