The Native American Scenic Byway is a great place to follow the history and paths of Native Americans who lived in the area in years passed as well as the present. You will cross 4 reservations on the byway including the tribes of Lakota Sioux: Crow Creek, Lower Brule, Cheyenne River and Standing Rock. Along your journey you will also come across memorials, museums, monuments, historical sites and sacred places.

On the Native American Scenic Byway sites that have been seemingly untouched and beautiful landscapes are on the way. Specific sites you will come across include Eagle Butte, Cheyenne River Sioux Reservations, Sitting Bull Monument, Fort Manuel and a former fur trading post.
