Though Latitude was only born in 2006, it's already a name some of your cooler grandparents might have heard of.  They might also be able to tell you that it's held in July, in Henham Park, Suffolk.  They might not be able to explain that this is a festival in the Euro style with large musical acts on large stages and arenas, but also comedy, poetry, cabaret, art, theatre and other more literary entertainments.  They've been four stages to it the whole time, in 2009 the headliners for the various stages were Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Grace Jones and The Pet Shop Boys in the Obelisk Arena, Bat for Lashes and The Gossip in the Uncut Arena, Little Boots in the Sunrise Arena, and Bombay Bicycle Club on The Lake Stage.

Excellent festival.

I loved they way it had more than just music going for it (more so than other festivals). I went to the first one in 2006, but I hear its got a bit busy for its own good in recent years. The multi-coloured sheep are a hi-light!
