At Thunder Basin National Grassland you can discover the nature of the west up close. At this beautiful landmark you can do various activities to suit you such as hiking, fishing, camping, horse riding, biking, sightseeing and many others.

You will have the opportunity to discover various landscapes and wildlife while visiting here. You will come across forests, mountains, grasslands and rivers. The climate here is semi-arid and the area is located from 3,600 to 5,200 feet above sea level. Make sure to plan your camping accordingly because there are no official campsites, but dispersed camping is allowed.
