Sand Dunes of Huacachina

Listed under Natural World in Ica, Peru.

This tiny oasis is little more than a deep lake within tall folds of sand dunes. Rising to over one hundred metres high these dunes are a big pull for sand boarders and dune buggy enthusiasts. The oasis supports a narrow ring of trees and a small town.
