The Guadalupe River Trail is for walking and cycling on, and runs for 11 miles along the banks of the Guadalupe River via downtown San Jose and several surrounding neighbourhoods. So as well as being a good way for visitors to see the sights, it's also heaviy used by locals getting from A to B. Some of it's paved and some of it not, and some of it's not as scenic as you might have been hoping – one section runs by the local Westfield mall, but there are a lot of parks along the route – including the Guadalupe Gardens, and it's a good way too see them.
