This net of trails covers about two thousand kilometres in it’s entirety with multiple options for day rides or short riding tours. What is considered the main route circuits Lake Champlain and follows the Richelieu River into Canada over almost eight hundred kilometres along scenic mountain trails, flat basins and back roads. As well as being a scenic delight, the route is also well set up for cyclists, meandering through small towns with quaint country stores, museums and inns, so there is comfortable accommodation en route if desired, but plenty of suitable camping grounds for those looking for more adventure. Around thirty other routes connect to this larger one and each has a theme, be it historic, cultural or environmental which are aimed at giving riders an experience which relates directly to the region.
