Listed under Contemporary Architecture in Oslo, Norway.
Art, culture and architecture are brought together in this building at the head of the Oslofjord.
Rising out of the water, the Italian marble of this building gleams – adding to the already stunning surroundings. The construction of this building was the largest public building works since the building of the Nidarosdomen was completed in around 1300.
It's practical as well as beautiful though. Home to the Norwegian opera and ballet companies you can also walk on its roof for a beautiful view of the fjord.
