Another Lord Foster masterwork, this spectacular bridge has set new standards in planning design and construction. The largest cable-stayed bridge in Europe, it spans a 2km valley and is taller than the Eiffel Tower, driven in around a minute, drawing excitement from the company funding the project with $400m. 7 pylons are used, instead of the normal 2 or 3, it was constructed with the minimum amount of material, in majority steel, meaning hugely reduced costs. The bridge curves lightly to stop the disconcerting feeling of floating, with a 3% incline for better visibility and to further erasure the driver.

@George Monkhouse: nice review! but... "to erasure the driver"? sounds like a horror story :-) and I also don't quite get this grammar: who or what is "drawing excitement from the company funding the project with $400m"?
