This national park is Costa Rica's smallest, but one of the most bio-diverse places on earth, both on land and under the clear waters, perfect for snorkellers. More than 109 mammal species (including many kinds of monkey) and 184 kinds of bird make their homes in the evergreen forests which grow right up to the pristine white sand in some places or the along sections of the coast lined with mangroves, lagoons and swamps. Off shore there is a chance of seeing a dolphin or whale.
