Costa del Sol prides itself on its culture just as much as its idyllic weather, offering many enlightening experiences to go along with the sunshine and natural beauty – contrary to its reputation as a cheap sun destination. The Picasso Museum in the Los Condes de Buenavista and the Royal Riding School of Ronda (Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda) are two exceptional places to visit, and there are many more. The Benalmádena Aerial Cable Car takes visitors 800 meters over Costa del Sol, soaring through the air to Mount Calamorro in about 45 minutes. El Torcal Natural Area is a striking landscape of bizarre limestone formations from 150 million years ago.
