To explore a city is to explore a culture. Whether a city is austere and historic, a theatre town or the capital of nightlife it tells you about the people that live there and their particular traditions and values. City life can be about luxury, shopping, partying – a bit of everything, but it can also be about adventure; testing your sense of direction and challenging your ability to interact with different people. Cities allow you to explore history but also the present of a culture, experiencing everyday life as it is lived by the city’s many residents by going to their museums, eating in their restaurants and soaking up their landscape.
