Churches are usually thought of as historical and St. Patrick's Cathedral is no exception- worship has taken place here for over 800 years! With a majestic presence over the area surrounding it and as the national church for Ireland, over 300,000 people visit the Cathedral each year. Visitors of all denominations and backgrounds are welcomed to attend one of the two sung services they hold every day except on Saturdays. Inside, the Cathedral is so filled with mementos from its long history that you might actually think you're in a museum instead.

You can choose to enter the church for a small fee. They do not have guided tours but there are detailed walking guides that are available in your language and the interior is of huge, beautiful proportions. If you'd rather not enter the Cathedral, sitting on the green grass outside can be just as rewarding as you admire the grand architecture and steeples of the church.
