Santissima Annunziata is the spiritual home of the style of painting called Florentine Mannerism whose 'poster child' is the 'Life of the Virgin' on the cloister which, was the combined effort of Andrea del Sarto, Rosso Fiorentino and Jacopo Pontormo.  Inside are enough frescoes to fill a gallery.
