Old Blandford Church

This church was originally called the Brick Church and was erected in 1735. The church has 15 memorial windows for soldiers of the confederacy designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson all had memorial services here afters their deaths.

The Battle of Petersburg was fought here in 1781 with the United States against the British Army. The church is open daily from 10am to 5pm and tours last about 45 minutes with the last one beginning at 4pm. Also in Petersburg, Virginia are the Siege Museum, Visitors Center, Petersburg National Battlefield, Pamplin Civil War Historical Park and the Fort Lee Army Quartermaster Museum.
