The historic city of Leeds boasts one of the UK's longest-established German-themed markets, comprised of almost forty wooden chalet stalls set out on the central Millennium Square. Besides the customary toys, gifts, decorations and greetings cards on offer, you'll also find a whole German bierkeller named the Frankfurter Scheune, where you can try traditional a more extensive range of German food alongside the usual gluhwein and gingerbread. A funfair is erected adjacent to the market stalls, so you can seek some thrills to get you in the mood for shopping.
