Guilin’s Crystal Palace Cave

Listed under Caves & Caving in Guilin, China.

Known for its weird landscape, the city of Guilin is surrounded by limestone humpback mini-mountains. The beauty of these mountains is paralleled inside Guilin by the geological wonders found within Reed Flute Cave. The giant stalactites and massive formations of the cave’s Crystal Palace have been the fodder for fairytales and other flights of fancy because of the unworldly atmosphere their presence creates.
