Rosenborg Slot was originally built as the summer home of King Christian IV in 1606, but was changed and added to until it eventually became the majestic castle we see today. It was actively lived in until 1710 but now is home to Denmark’s Crown Jewels and a number of other historic Royal Collections. Clothing, artwork, and other historic objects belonging to past Danish royal families are on display in over 250 exhibits throughout the castle.
