The brand new Taleni Etosha Village is somewhere between a modern resort and a traditional African village, near one of Namibia's premiere gaming reserves, Etosha National Park.

There are 40 self-catering chalets - each with twin beds, en-suite bathrooms and open-air showers. You can cook your own food or pick from the spread laid on by staff.

Thanks very much for that! It should now be correctly located.

Caution - WRONG MAP INDICATOR - the 'world reviewer' map shows Taleni Etosha Village to be on the right hand side of the road leading from Outjo to Etosha National Park. The lodge is located on the left hand side (east of the road), just 2km in front of the Andersson Entrance Gate to Etosha.

Hi Ute - Thanks for the correction - I'll see when it comes to landmarks this precise we have to locate them manually. you don't have the geo-coordinates do you? Thanks!

Etosha Village is 415km from Windhoek on the direct tarred road route via Otjiwarongo and Outjo. With one or 2 stops en-route, travel time approximately 4 hours.

Perfect camping right outside park gates

we spent about 8 days at the Taleni Etosha Village (and its sister campsite down near the Dunes in Sossusvlei) and thought it was marvellous. Great accomodations, showers under the stars, stars so close u could touch them; picnic tables and brais (bar b ques), and all affordable. Camping without roughing it. Down near Sossusvlei, there were only 12 tents, and nothing between you and the stars it was magnificant.
