This is a camp that lives and breathes the spirit of the ancient inhabitants of the land taking us right back to their nomadic roots. Set in the Torres del Paine National Park, the tents are constructed to blend in to the surroundings and to be entirely unobtrusive. The structure of the tents is based on ancient design of the traditional Kawesqar huts. Resembling an igloo, the tents have to be as sturdy as possible to withstand the furious Patagonian wind. The tents are also built on a raised deck, which means that no ground had to be cleared for them, and evidence of the tents will remain. The camp only uses renewable sources of energy such as solar power and wind generators. All camp waste is removed and recycled, thus not contaminating the environment in any way. The days in Patagonia stretch from 5:30am to 11pm, leaving loads of time to explore the surroundings. The camp offers loads of tours, from wildlife tours to tours on horseback. The night skies are also truly amazing, as is the sunrise over the surrounding mountains.
