Set up by Norman Carr himself, Nsefu has one of the finest views of all, the Luangwa camps. Located on a wide bend in the Luangwa river, Nsefu is much the same as the old ‘hunting lodge’ as it was set up so long ago.

The main areas and all the rooms are set back from the river bank by 50 yards. They all face the wide stretch of the river with spectacular views.

The bar and dining areas are at each end of the camp, connected by a canopy of trees that provide a shady area to relax in. The rooms are thatched rondavels with decking areas and en suite bathrooms, each beautifully decorated inside.

The 50 yards that separates the rooms from the river bank is an expanse of grass where dinners are occasionally served under the stars and breakfast is laid out.
