Set on the confluence of the Kafue and Lufupa Rivers, Lufupa River lodge has the most attractive setting of all of the Kafue’s river lodges.
Originally created as a family home, the lodge has a somewhat bizarre design; the kitchen and the manager’s houses have by far the most desirable views and the majority of the rooms are set back, approximately fifty yards from the river itself.
However, in June 2006, a new dinning and bar area was opened for the new season with spectacular views over the river. This offers guests a great place to relax, looking directly onto a wide stretch of the Kafue River itself.
The rooms are all detached brick coloured rondavels with en suite bathrooms and enough space to fit two extra beds, Colourful bed clothes and spreads create a charming little vibe and drum home the fact that this lodge really is superb value for money.
