This campsite is located in the Grands Causses Regional Park and has become highly rated due its terraced setting, excellent facilities and views of the Dourbie valley. The region itself is famed due to its spectacular landscape, characterised by plunging valleys and rocky mountains. The campsite is family run and has been successfully operating for 30 years. There are 200 pitches for tents and motor homes which means it gets fairly busy but because of the way it is structured, you are almost guaranteed a fantastic view from your pitch no matter where it is.
The campsite has a privileged view of the medieval village of Cantobre, which clings precariously to the top of a cliff! The surroundings are great for nature lovers with creatures from black vultures to numerous butterflies decorating the skies. There are also over 60 orchid species found in the area throughout the year. Close by is the phenomenal Chaos de Monpellier-le-Vieux which is 300 acres of fascinating rock formations caused by wind and water erosion. Closed between September and May.
