Kamp Liza has easy access to two rivers, the wild Kortinica as it runs into the larger, more established Soca, so is high on the list of places to go for kayakers, paddlers and other watersports-people, it's also laid out before the rugged peaks ringing the Bovec Valley. If you like sweeping scenery, the Julian Alps and the Triglavski National Parks are a drive up the winding roads away, but if you like peace and quiet you don't need to go anywhere.
Bovec is the nearest town: small and more than 800 years old it's a natural centre for watersports enthusiasts, mountain bikers, and, in winter, skiers. It's daily market will keep your camp fires burning, or if you're sick of food that tastes slightly of smoke try some of the local cafes and restaurants, known for their traditional home cooked meals.
