Camping Indigo Rieu is a hugely popular, large, family-friendly site set in picturesque French countryside on the edge of a lake. The pristine campsite is in the heart of the Haut Languedoc Regional park which is an area characterised by its diverse and dramatic landscapes so this is an ideal base for nature lovers to explore the vicinity.
The campsite can accommodate 127 pitches but due to the size of the site, each pitch has a good amount of space and most pitches have adequate shade covering from the French summer sun. Despite the fact that you would actually be staying in a tent, the campsite has a certain posh resort feel to it, with a huge heated swimming pool overlooking the lake coming complete with deckchairs and sun umbrellas for lazy days. The area around the campsite has so much to offer, there will never be a shortage of activities. Everything from aqua-gym to volleyball can be arranged- but relaxation is also an attractive option with the lake having its own sandy beach. The park is great for hikes and walks and there are a number of trails which will guide you through some of the prettiest parts. Closed between September and June.
