Just off the Tour de Mont Blanc walking path, this alpine valley site has the glacial views, the meadows, the forest, the river of freezing ice melt and the men in the valleys cutting grass with scythes.
The site rolls down the mountain like warm icing, and you can pitch your tent on three levels, on the flat meadow looking back down the valley, on the slope between the pine trees and wild orchids or at the rocky base where you can open you tent and look up at breathtaking glacial views. The main activity for visitors is walking – along the col into France or up either of the twin peaks that overlook the campsite.
