The gently shelving sand of this beach makes it safe for younger, or less experienced swimmers, and the soft sand is friendly for little hands and shovels and pails. The beach is within a scoop of granite cliffs which has a shelf of green picnic-ready grass between the sand and the cliffs.

Only three miles from Land's End, this bit of coast is in prime position to get some sunshine and fine weather as well and it's also known for the outdoor Minack Theatre carved into the rocks nearby and the telegraph museum just behind that.
