This is supposedly the 'beach of the stars' – the place where the beautiful people come to be seen, dropping in for a meal from a luxury yacht parked just off shore. In reality this is quite a long stretch of sand, and while some sections are exclusive and lined by expensive cafes and restaurants, and expensive bodies, some sections welcome the less glamorous classes, right down to 'Z list' celebrities and below – if there's anything below a 'Z list' celebrity... There's also a rather more notorious section for naturists which got a bit of a reputation way back when it was racier to bathe nude.

Generally the water and sand are very clean and clear, but the wind can bring in the kelp, which can in turn get into the sand making it crispy to walk on. So while it may be for the beautiful people it's not always going to be a beautiful view.
