Really really far from the madding crowds, this beach is about as unspoiled as a beach can be without being impossible to get to. Once you’re in Thandwe, Myanmar, it’s only seven kilometers to this three kilometer stretch of coconut palm lined, soft sandy meeting of the land and sea. This is what Asia’s beaches were like before everyone knew about them – no hawkers, not crowds, not noisy bars, just idyllic natural assets. Ride your bike along the entire length and around the local villages which break up the lines of even more lovely beaches and see the local people sun drying their fish, shrimp and coconuts.
