Hvar Island is at the centre of the archipelago off Croatia's Adriatic Coast – a jade jewel with Mount Biokovo set in its centre, outlined in sprinkled strands of oatmeal shingle beach. Mlaska Bay is one of these, but it stands out for being composed of fine sand and boasting more than a hundred metres of shallow water offshore. It's also just in front of a good camp site, with plenty of private spots to pitch and watersports equipment for hire.
