Despite the very un-Cypriot name, this beach is well known on the island, famed for its white sand and watersports, including suba diving and wind surfing. Restaurants, a lot of them offering straight-from-the-sea fish, have sprung up along its shore.

McKenzie is a bit out of town so quieter than the beaches along the front of the hotels, but it’s still busy in the summer season. You can arrive by car or public transport or walk the little way out of town to get to it.
