15 walk minutes charming walk along the promenade beside the Riva marina is Marjan Beach, part of a tree covered peninsular. Past the coffee bars, palm trees, shops and ships are the white beaches and past that is Marjan Hill, at the bottom of which is the beach in question. The cliffs around the peninsular are interesting and daring enough to attract rock climbers and pretty enough to attract photographers, and the promenade is luxurious enough to attract people watchers and people worth watching..

Coming down from the road a path skirts the café and beach to get to the nude-friendly section at the far end. Trees and rocks give bathers a bit of privacy, if that’s what they want, and early birds will be able to nestle into mini beaches between rocky ledges for even greater bathing privacy. The car park is at the top of the hill, the café 100metres walk down to the bottom. The sea is clean and safe and despite the naturist area there are plenty of families and locals sandwiched in between vacationers at the weekends.
