This beach is considered one of Ecuador’s most idyllic and with its sweeping white bay, densely forested cliffs, bright water, huge crabs and lack of human intervention, it has been the star of many advertisements for the country. Harder to get to than many other beaches along this coast - which is why it remains so pristine, to reach Los Frailes you walk for around two hours and first pass two smaller beaches, one with black sand and one with yellow.
