For a true island excursion away from the high-speed hustle of daily life, a visit to Little Corn Island will surely provide relief. New to tourism, this Caribbean gem rests 70 km off of Nicaragua's coast. The square-mile sized island engages in eco-friendly practices such as conservation and re-usable energy. Great for snorkeling and scuba diving, the blue waters are teeming with sea turtles and sting rays.
Because the island has no motorized cars and a nearly nonexistent night life, this beach getaway is for those who crave a little peace and quiet.
