The coast around Jervis Bay is like a long ribbon of white. These are some of the least crowed beaches in New South Wales, but also some of the most stunning - they’ve even won awards for having world’s whitest sand (however they score that.). Hyams is the most secluded but conversely the most famously beautiful? Callala is separated by a creek which makes it difficult to get to but well worth it. Huskisson is closest to the town with the same name and has camping facilities (sounds idyllic doesn’t it? Well it is.) so is busier and Collingwood, Barfleur, Orion , Nelson and Blenheim are all similarly long, white and inviting.

The two and a half hours drive from Sydney past lots of other perfectly lovely beaches may have something to do with the lack of crowds and clean sand and water.
