Known for its star-shaped sand, Hoshizuna beach on Japan's Iriomote Island shines as one of the most beautiful remote beaches in the world. Though Hoshizuna's placid waters are made for excellent fishing and relaxing canoeing, the area remains nearly untouched by outsiders. The waters can be awful high though, so exercise caution when swimming in the beach's gorgeous coral reefs.
