Surfers know this place because of the exciting winds and waves which thrash it, but the sand is nice and clean, like the crystal clear water, and the flat views are pretty expansive. These three miles of sand – yes, that expansive – are attacked by the Atlantic which whallops the dunes into shape before hitting the cliffs. There's a scenic walking route along the cliffs. Most of the non-surfing visitors here are fugitives from Abersoch which has much busier beaches and is just across the bay.
