The Konkan coastline is scenic stretch of beaches alternating with rocky outcrops and sections of jungle which reach to the shore and this beach is one of the highlights of a highlight. The lack of infrastructure is made up for in spades by the coconut palms that roll down off the mountains and gather around the sandy lip of beach, and make for a perfect setting for a hammock or picnic blanket.

A fort and the traditional residence of the Peshwas or Prime Ministers are a short boat trip away for the culture loving beach goer.
