You get a great view of the whole of this crescent moon shaped bright turquoise and white Mediterranean beach from the cliffs above it as you walk down the 350 stairs to the sand – on a hot day all the while your enthusiasm for the water growing. There are pebbles at the back of the beach near the cliff face, but closer to the water then shrink to the size of sand particles and sprout with umbrellas and sun loungers. These comforts are for hire, but most of the beach is undeveloped and free. There's a car park at the top and a small shack at the bottom, but that's it for amenities.
The only thing to stop this beach becoming one of the world's best is the walk back up the stairs at the end of the day.
