A sandy beach, backed by high sand dunes beside the picturesque North Devonshire village of Croyde. The beach is extremely popular with holidaying families and day-trippers in the summer season, when kids delight in the extensive rock pools filled with a myriad of intertidal fauna including the Asterias starfish, brittle stars, snakelocks and beadlet anemones, green shore crabs and the occasional sea hare.
There are several public footpaths around the village, and a steep climb to Baggy Point at the northern end of the beach offers spectacular sea views and the chance to spot seals, dolphins and basking sharks. Croyde is also renowned as one of the best surfing beaches in the South West.
