Coral Bay Beach has its own resort but if you’re not staying there you arrive at the beach after a drive from Paphos though banana plantations and vineyards. The beach you’re heading for is a smiling arc of gold sand strung between two headlands, against which calm little waves wash, people paddle in pedaloes and little local cafes fringe.
Further along the bay are coves that can be reached by hired pedalo or canoe, and there are some underwater sights worth diving or snorkelling to. One of these coves is a turtle nesting spot.
For those tired of the sun, sea, sand and pedaloes, there’s a small local museum which has information about the Mycenean people who arrived on this beach during the Bronze Age.
