Bequia, which means "island in the clouds," is the kind of ethereal beach escape that most people dream of. The peaceful waters also have some of the best sailing conditions in the world and are a yacht magnet.
With several beaches, such as the secluded Moonhole and the palm tree-laden Spring Bay, Bequia has a beach with the entertainments, or lack of, to suit everyone. Take a trip to the erroneously named Industry Bay, which in fact has no industry at all, only a warm, sandy beach and waters that are great for snorkeling.

We are looking for a place on a nice quiet stretch of beach..calm waters good snorkeling, what beaches fit this description? What is lower bay?

We like it laid back with maybe a small beach bar restaurant.

I feel the Grand Island-Lake Superior has better qualities.
Bequia is a true beach island paradise! Princess Margaret Beach is accessible by water taxi. Just tell the sailor what time you want to be picked up and he will come back. The sand is soft the water crystal clear and warm. The best thing is that you feel alone there, there are no crowds. There is a lady selling local goods, but that's it.

To me it was better than the rest of the Carribean, spent 2 years travelling throughout them and Bequia was my favourite out of them all. Very laid back,
