In a country of beautiful beaches it’s hard to choose the soft pale sand and bright blue ocean of one over another, but while many of the Maldives most perfect beaches are that way because they’ve been man made, this one is just naturally close to perfection. So this island’s sweep of sand running away from the lagoon like a question mark appeals to beauty contest judges with an aversion to obvious cosmetic surgery.

The sand is so white it almost glows - this is a coral island - the water is clear and in some places the reef is so close you can admire the marine life without even getting wet, and the palm trees make that desirable rustling in the breezes. This beach also rates highly in the best sunset competition.
