The sand of this beach is the kind of golden sand usually seen in the desert, and the palm trees and orange cliffs around it make this beach look as much like an oasis as a coastline. The road down to the beach passes though a valley with high cliff walls and above them towering mountains which seclude the beach from view.

The tide rolls off this beach to reveal the kinds of rock pools that could easily become the highlight of a child’s holiday. Behind that is a children’s playground and a shop which are busier on Friday afternoons and on the weekends.

Just beyond Bandar Jissah is the Oman Dive Centre, useful seeing as the shades of blue water in the photos look pretty irresistible.
