Fine golden sand and crystal clear waters add to the appeal of this five kilometre long beach. The space is the other real draw, even when it’s busy the sand isn’t entirely covered by sun loungers and umbrellas.

Shops, cafés and restaurants will keep you fed and watered – there’s even a Marks & Spencers for Brits craving a taste of home, but there’s not a lot to do in the evening if you’re considering staying at one of the hotels on the beach front.
